Another sign of economic worry… There’s recession nails, recession core, and now, recession meals are trending on TikTok.
In fact, the hashtag #budgetmeals on TikTok has seen a 20% increase over the last month, with videos of people making budget and recession meals getting millions of views.
TikTok creator Dollar Tree Dinners has nearly 3 million followers, and she shares how to make meals using ingredients from only, yep, Dollar Tree.

Another creator, Dean Boskovich, is a private chef who has created a series called Eating like a medieval peasant until all my credit cards are paid off. “It was partially born out of necessity, but also it was a fun way for me to reframe my own situation, regain some control, and try to make light of it a little bit,” he tells Today.
“My bank account was in the negative and I had almost no food in my kitchen because I’d just moved in. While it was somewhat of a stressful situation, I am always able to find some peace while cooking.”
I'd try this one too...
