Miranda Lambert and Parker McCollum will livestream their upcoming benefit concert to support their home state of Texas after devastating floods last month.
The two country stars announced on Monday (August 11) that “we’re going to livestream our Band Together Texas flood relief benefit concert so everyone can be a part of an incredible night of music and healing,” Lambert shared. “If you’re in Texas, we still have a few tickets left too.”
Lambert and McCollum announced Band Together Texas last month. The star-studded lineup is made up of other country hitmakers and Texas-born artists, including Cody Johnson, Ronnie Dunn, Lyle Lovett, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Jack Ingram, Jon Randall, Ryan Bingham, Lukas Nelson and Dylan Gossett. The event will also include appearances by Matthew McConaughey, Dennis Quaid, Roger Clemens, Mack Brown, Colt McCoy, Vince Young, Chris Harrison and Emmanuel Acho, per Lambert’s previous announcement. Proceeds will benefit Community Foundation of Texas Hill Country and Central Texas Community Foundation.
“The flooding in the Hill Country of Texas is truly heartbreaking,” McCollum said when he and Lambert announced Band Together Texas. “This place and these people are my community. There is a long road ahead rebuilding and even though so many families are facing the unimaginable, we’re Texas strong. [Miranda Lambert] is inspiring in both her music and how big her heart is, and I’m honored to be joining her for this benefit concert to support our fellow Texans and share a night of healing through music.”
Viewers can watch the livestream on Lambert’s and McCollum’s YouTube and Facebook pages, or listen on iHeartCountry. Band Together Texas will take place at 7 p.m. CT on August 17 at Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
