A tear-stricken Megan Moroney sought help from the âKarma Now! Hotlineâ after a relationship ended in heartbreak.
The reigning Country Music Association New Artist of the Year played multiple roles in her â6 Months Laterâ music video, which premiered on Wednesday (July 16). Moroney also co-directed the visual with CeCe Dawson. The opening scene captures the Georgia-born country star with curlers in her hair, snacking on a bowl of popcorn and flipping through channels on an old school TV as she cries over a breakup. Thatâs when a commercial for the âKarma Now! Hotlineâ catches Moroneyâs attention, and she opts to call the number. Another character played by Moroney answers the hotline call, and takes steps to get revenge in a âhilarious RomCom-inspiredâ way, notes a press release issued Wednesday.
âIf your summer has been ruined by a cheating, lying, and undeserving dude, it may be time for you to call the âKarma Now! Hotlineâ tooâŚâ
Moroney wrote â6 Months Laterâ with Ben Williams, David âMessyâ Mescon and Rob Hatch. The lyrics tell the story of how she âsurvivedâ a âdramaticâ split, and the song serves as âundeniable proof that living well is the best revenge,â per a previously-issued release. â6 Months Laterâ is Moroneyâs latest single to release since âYou Had To Be There,â a collaboration with country superstar Kenny Chesney.
