Hunter Hayes offered a glimpse into his at-home studio and shared a few childhood memories in the first episode of a five-part online series.
Hayes premiered Road To Evergreen on Monday (May 5) ahead of the next chapter in his career. The singer-songwriter โwanted to have a sort of conversation and โunpackโ the road to here so Iโm excited to share it all with you leading up to the start of a new season,โ he explained when he announced Road To Evergreen last week. New episodes will arrive on Mondays at 6 p.m. CT.
โThis season means something different,โ Hayes said. โThereโs a reason youโre in my living room. โฆThis is more than just a studio. This is my world.
โIโve never been a fan of having a โstudio room,โโ he wrote in a recent Instagram caption. โIโve always loved finding spaces that feel great being in and letting a studio grow in those spaces. The chaos of the gear scattered everywhere is a result of making sure that 1-music can be made/recorded at any time and 2-it never feels like a โworkโ environment. This project has lead me to bring outdoors in where Iโm now surrounded by over 30 plants and Iโm proud to say MOST of them are doing quite well.โ
Road To Evergreen also shared a clip of Hayes performing on stage as a child, reflected on the earliest days of his career, a look back at his โoriginal debut albumโ that he made at 7 years old, and more. Hayes said he โfell in love with it [music] and found it to be a purpose before I had to pick a career path.โ
The Road To Evergreen series arrives as Hayes has been working on Evergreen, an era defined by โfinding something, realizing all the dreams you've had and really manifesting the things you want for yourself and creating more of what you want in the world,โ he said in a previous interview with iHeartCountry. He said on the red carpet at the 2024 Peopleโs Choice Country Awards that โEvergreenย is my life right now. Iโm living and breathing it, and I cannot wait to share it.โ
