When Brad Paisley and his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, tied the knot two decades ago, the country star penned a heartfelt song for his bride — with a hilarious twist.

Paisley appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (December 4), telling host Jimmy Fallon about his forthcoming album, a recent photo with Post Malone, and, of course, the ballad he wrote for actress Williams-Paisley for their wedding day in 2003.

“You’re super talented, but you’re also very funny and you have a great sense of humor,” Fallon said. “Your wife…asked you to write a song for the wedding.”

Paisley noted that he’d already had a Top 5 song with the song “that made her fall in love with me, which was called ‘Little Moments.’ …and somehow, that wasn’t enough.”

“Miraculously,” there happened to be a guitar in the studio, and Paisley delivered his rendition of the song he wrote for Williams-Paisley when they got married. He sang that — rather than buying flowers, jewelry or dresses — the way he shows his wife “how much I adore her/ The best way that I’ve found/ Is to make sure when I’m finished/ I put that toilet seat down.”

Fallon also took the stage to perform “Son Of The Mountains,” the title track of his upcoming full-length album and of his EP that released earlier this year, Son Of The Mountains: The First Four Tracks. That collection also includes “Same Here” featuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, “So Many Summers” and “The Medicine Will.” Paisley previously shared that he’s “been pouring my heart and soul into a new project with this team and I cannot wait for the world to hear it.”

Paisley has not announced the release date of Son Of The Mountains as of publication time on Tuesday (December 5).
