Kelsea Ballerini’s latest teaser on Instagram launched a countdown to Tuesday night (March 28). The award-winning singer-songwriter debuted artwork for what appears to be a stunning “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” music video, and her social media followers are eager to see the finished product. Ballerini wrote in her caption: “hot girl summer? no, hot girl homicide begins tuesday at 10pm”

If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” was one of 15 tracks included on Ballerini’s latest full-length album, Subject To Change, which released in September. Ballerini previously described the fan-favorite anthem as one that’s “giving thelma and louise mary anne and wanda ride or die through calm and chaos a thank god for friends bippity bop.”

The song’s lyrics inspired one of the most memorable moments during Ballerini’s “HERTFIRST Tour.” Ballerini reflected on some of the best highlights as she wrapped the latest leg of her headlining tour, gushing over the “progressively more unhinged ‘HYPOTHETICALLY IF YOU EVER KILL YOUR HUSBAND’ moment.”

Ballerini’s Instagram followers dropped comments that the “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” teaser is already giving “Goodbye Earl 2.0” vibes, nodding to The Chicks’ iconic revenge anthem that released in the 90s (Ballerini previously said her latest full-length project was largely influenced by 90s female country artists).
