Dolly Parton is launching her own signature coffee brand inspired by one of her most beloved hits of all time.
Parton announced on Thursday morning (June 11) that Cup of Ambition, inspired by “9 to 5,” will make its public debut at her “first-of-its-kind” travel stop. Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will open on June 24 off Exit 22 on I-65 in Cornersville, Tennessee, south of Nashville, per a press release. The new Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stop will be “the first of many highly anticipated travel centers,” and Cup of Ambition will be available nationwide later this year. The country legend teamed up with Community Coffee to create the signature coffee with light, medium and dark roasts.
“I've spent a lifetime workin’ 9 to 5, 5 to 9, and every hour in between! It takes a lot of energy to pursue your passion and navigate each day. That’s why I wanted to make a coffee that works just as hard. You know, I begin each morning with a head full of dreams, a notepad full of ideas, and a cup or two of coffee,” Parton said in a statement. “Whether you’re chasing dreams, tackling that to-do list, or just enjoying a quiet morning at home, I hope it brings a smile with every sip.”
Cup of Ambition was “created to capture the warmth, energy, and Southern hospitality Dolly is known for,” the release states. Parton announced details for her upcoming Tennessean Travel Stop in late May, opening it in time for the Fourth of July. The attraction will also offer DLY BBQ, unique photo opportunities (including an onsite tour bus inspired by the one Parton used throughout her career), and more, making the highway “feel a little more like home.” Details about grand opening festivities will be announced at a later date.
