Shania Twain Would 'Like to Say Yes' To Judging American Idol

Man! American Idol may have just found its woman.

Shania Twain threw her name into the ring as a potential judge for the ABC reboot of the one-time Fox juggernaut in a new interview with Access Hollywood, revealing she’s had conversations with producers about joining the show.

“We’ve talked back and forth and it is something that I think I would enjoy,” she says. “I love the whole experience of being with like-minded people who appreciate amazing, upcoming talent. I think that would be a lot of fun... It would be something that I would like to say yes to.”

The “Swinging with My Eyes Closed” singer previously mentored on Idol in 2009 and enjoyed “the whole mentorship concept.”

So far only Katy Perry has been confirmed to sit on the show’s new judging panel, while names like Lionel Richie, Charlie Puth, Luke Bryan and former judge Keith Urban are said to be front-runners to join Katy on the revival.

Word is Idol will announce its judges by September.
